How Does ReduSol Work?

ReduSol forms a durable reflective coating on the outside of the greenhouse covering. The coating reflects heat and light from the greenhouse, helping growers manage periods of intense solar radiation and high temperatures.

Unlike selective coatings, ReduSol provides shading across the whole spectrum of sunlight. The required shading level can be selected according to the crop, variety and local growing conditions.

How to Apply ReduSol

For the best and longest-lasting results, apply ReduSol to a clean and dry greenhouse roof.

1. Fill the mixing tank with the required amount of clean water.
2. Add ReduSol while stirring continuously.
3. Continue to stir the spray mixture regularly during application.
4. Apply ReduSol evenly across the greenhouse surface, preferably using suitable spraying equipment.
5. Do not combine ReduSol with non-ReduSystems shading products.
6. Do not apply if rain is expected within 6 hours, allowing sufficient time for the coating to dry.

How to Remove ReduSol

At the end of the shading season, ReduSol can be removed using ReduClean greenhouse coating remover.

Apply at least 250 litres of ReduClean solution per hectare, with ReduClean diluted with 5–7 parts clean water, ensuring even coverage over the required greenhouse roof area.

For effective removal, apply ReduClean when a considerable amount of rainfall is expected within approximately one week. The ReduClean dissolves the ReduSol coating, allowing subsequent rainfall to wash the coating from the greenhouse surface.
