Description

Innovative bioactive turf fertiliser

SwordPhite is an innovative liquid fertiliser containing Nitrogen, Phosphorus and potassium. Potassium is represented as PO3 (Phosphite) rather than the conventional PO4 (Phosphate). Phosphite contains fast-acting highly mobile molecules, increasing the rate of energy transfer within the plant, effectively increasing root and shoot initiation and development.

  • Source of Nitrogen, Phosphorus and Potassium 4:25:9.
  • Rapidly taken up through foliage and via the roots.
  • Aids plant stress reduction.
  • Stimulates and supports natural plant defence mechanisms.

WHY

Phosphite is available as Phosphite which is has a smaller, more reactive molecule than that of the conventional Phosphate, enabling rapid translocation throughout the plant. Rapid transport to the plant cells, effectively relieves “hidden phosphorus hunger”, which can happen during periods of fast growth. Providing nutrients as a spray encourages rapid uptake of nutrients through the plants foliage, while any overspray remains available for absorption through the root systems. SwordPhite stimulates and supports the plants natural defence mechanism by maintaining the ideal nutrition levels necessary to promote healthy growth.

  • Rapid uptake via roots and foliage
  • Maintain ideal nutrient levels
  • Source of Nitrogen, Phosphorus and Potassium
  • Phosphorus (P) – Important for root development, flowering, fruit ripening, photosynthesis, plant respiration and general plant growth. As with Nitrogen Phosphorus is involved with many vital plant processes, it is present as a structural component of DNA, RNA and phospholipids which are important in membrane development and function.
  • Suitable for tank mixing with several Vitax Amenity products. (Consult Vitax Amenity for further details).
  • Complements the action and mobility of other nutrients such as Calcium, Manganese, Magnesium and Iron.

WHEN

Applied at 2-3-week intervals, especially during potential stress periods, such as where rapid growth is exhibited and in drought conditions.

APPLICATION

Apply at 400ml per 1000 m2 in 40 to 100 Litres of water (4 litres per hectare in 400 to 1000 Litres of water)

Clover Multi-Purpose Compost is a peat-based growing medium for all plants. It is suitable for seed sowing, potting-on, containers, hanging baskets, tubs, vegetables, and bedding plants. It’s one of the most versatile composts for both home and professional gardeners.

Yes, Clover Multi-Purpose is an all-purpose compost designed for almost every type of plant. However, for lime-hating plants such as rhododendrons, camellias, and azaleas, we recommend using an ericaceous compost for best results.

Clover Multi-Purpose is peat-based, giving it superior water-holding capacity, root aeration, and consistent performance. Many gardeners prefer it over peat-free options for reliability, though we also stock peat-free alternatives if you want an eco-friendly choice.

Yes, this compost is enriched with nutrients to feed plants for up to 4–6 weeks after planting. For longer-term growth, simply add a liquid or granular fertiliser once the initial feed runs out.

Absolutely. The fine, consistent texture makes it excellent for seed germination and young seedlings. Just follow your seed packet instructions for sowing depth and watering.

Yes. This compost has excellent moisture retention and drainage, making it one of the best composts for hanging baskets, patio tubs, and containers. It helps prevent plants from drying out too quickly, especially in warm weather.

No, it is not certified organic as it contains peat and added fertiliser. If you’re looking for an organic compost, we can recommend suitable peat-free alternatives.
