Product Details

Description

Bonemeal is a slow release organic fertiliser produced from sterilised bonemeal. It contains two elements essential for healthy plant growth phosphate and nitrogen.

It is the slow release of nutrients over an extended period of time which makes Bonemeal an ideal fertiliser for a wide variety of crops and plants.

Bonemeal:

  • Encourages healthy root development
  • Ideal for bulbs, herbaceous plants, shrubs, roses, fruit trees and strawberries
  • Organic

The versatility of Bonemeal means it can be used prior to sowing or planting out, used as a top dressing for established roses and border plants in spring, and around fruit trees and bushes in autumn.

Although organic, the product may irritate cut or broken skin so always apply with gloves. Wash hands after use.

Store in a cool, dry place and keep out of reach of children and pets. If used in an area close to livestock such as cattle, deer, sheep and goats ensure the treated area is secure to prevent access.

Clover Multi-Purpose Compost is a peat-based growing medium for all plants. It is suitable for seed sowing, potting-on, containers, hanging baskets, tubs, vegetables, and bedding plants. It’s one of the most versatile composts for both home and professional gardeners.

Yes, Clover Multi-Purpose is an all-purpose compost designed for almost every type of plant. However, for lime-hating plants such as rhododendrons, camellias, and azaleas, we recommend using an ericaceous compost for best results.

Clover Multi-Purpose is peat-based, giving it superior water-holding capacity, root aeration, and consistent performance. Many gardeners prefer it over peat-free options for reliability, though we also stock peat-free alternatives if you want an eco-friendly choice.

Yes, this compost is enriched with nutrients to feed plants for up to 4–6 weeks after planting. For longer-term growth, simply add a liquid or granular fertiliser once the initial feed runs out.

Absolutely. The fine, consistent texture makes it excellent for seed germination and young seedlings. Just follow your seed packet instructions for sowing depth and watering.

Yes. This compost has excellent moisture retention and drainage, making it one of the best composts for hanging baskets, patio tubs, and containers. It helps prevent plants from drying out too quickly, especially in warm weather.

No, it is not certified organic as it contains peat and added fertiliser. If you’re looking for an organic compost, we can recommend suitable peat-free alternatives.
