Description

Depitox Selective Weed Killer (Depitox Herbicide)

Depitox Herbicide is a trusted selective herbicide designed for professional control of annual and perennial broad-leaved weeds, including ragwort, thistles, docks, nettles and dandelions. Containing 500 g/L 2,4-D, it provides fast, effective and lasting results across a wide range of applications — from amenity grassland, golf courses, playing fields, and roadsides, to a wide range of cereal crops.

Professional Grade Performance

Depitox delivers outstanding results when used as part of a professional turf or crop management programme. It is a professional pesticide, intended for use only by operators who have received adequate training in line with the Approved Code of Practice for using plant protection products.

This selective herbicide targets broad-leaved weeds while leaving grasses and cereals unharmed, making it suitable for use in treated areas where grass health and appearance are critical. It is especially effective on ragwort at the rosette stage, ensuring thorough systemic control before flowering.

Key Features and Benefits

  • Selective weed control: Targets broad-leaved weeds without harming established turf and grass species.
  • Effective on tough weeds: Highly effective on ragwort when treated at the rosette stage, as well as on docks, nettles, and dandelions.
  • Professional use only: Classified as a professional pesticide, users must hold adequate training and certification in line with the Approved Code of Practice.
  • Versatile application: Suitable for managed amenity turf, amenity grassland, paddocks, pastures, and agricultural land, offering flexibility for turf professionals and land managers.
  • Broad coverage: Systemic action ensures thorough control of both annual and perennial broad-leaved weeds, preventing regrowth and maintaining a clean sward.
  • Can be used in tank mix with compatible herbicides to expand the weed control spectrum (always check label compatibility).
  • Easy application through knapsack or boom sprayers in treated areas, maintaining clean and healthy turf or crop stands.

Application Guidance

Apply Depitox Herbicide to actively growing weeds, ideally when plants are at the rosette stage for maximum effectiveness. Avoid spraying during drought, frost, or when rain is expected within 24 hours. Always follow label directions carefully, wear protective equipment, and ensure operators have adequate training and certification in the safe use of professional pesticides.

Clover Multi-Purpose Compost is a peat-based growing medium for all plants. It is suitable for seed sowing, potting-on, containers, hanging baskets, tubs, vegetables, and bedding plants. It’s one of the most versatile composts for both home and professional gardeners.

Yes, Clover Multi-Purpose is an all-purpose compost designed for almost every type of plant. However, for lime-hating plants such as rhododendrons, camellias, and azaleas, we recommend using an ericaceous compost for best results.

Clover Multi-Purpose is peat-based, giving it superior water-holding capacity, root aeration, and consistent performance. Many gardeners prefer it over peat-free options for reliability, though we also stock peat-free alternatives if you want an eco-friendly choice.

Yes, this compost is enriched with nutrients to feed plants for up to 4–6 weeks after planting. For longer-term growth, simply add a liquid or granular fertiliser once the initial feed runs out.

Absolutely. The fine, consistent texture makes it excellent for seed germination and young seedlings. Just follow your seed packet instructions for sowing depth and watering.

Yes. This compost has excellent moisture retention and drainage, making it one of the best composts for hanging baskets, patio tubs, and containers. It helps prevent plants from drying out too quickly, especially in warm weather.

No, it is not certified organic as it contains peat and added fertiliser. If you’re looking for an organic compost, we can recommend suitable peat-free alternatives.
