Delivery
Delivery charges for your order will be calculated and displayed at checkout.
The good(s) are despatched directly to you by us or by one of our approved suppliers. We will determine how to deliver your order, and any applicable delivery charges will be communicated before you check out. We reserve the right, at our absolute discretion, to use a different delivery method without prior notification.
It is the customer's responsibility to let us know if there are access difficulties, including, but not limited to, low bridges, narrow single lanes, weight limit roads, steep driveways or hills. Please call if you have any concerns.
Although our team will always try our best to ensure punctual delivery for our customers, East Riding Horticulture Ltd cannot be held responsible if a delivery arrives late due to any circumstances impacting the availability of the courier and delivery services that we use, anything else outside of East Riding Horticulture’s control or your failure to provide us with adequate delivery instructions or any other instructions that are relevant to the supply of the Goods.
In some cases, delivery to areas such as Cornwall, the Scottish Highlands and non-mainland UK addresses, may incur additional delivery charges. Where any such charges apply one of our sales team will contact the customer with details of the additional charges. In this case, orders will not be fulfilled until the additional charge has been accepted.
Unfortunately, we do not ship internationally, or to the Isle of Wight or Isle of Man. There are also areas of the Scottish Highlands that we cannot deliver to.
We reserve the right, at our absolute discretion, to cancel your order if it becomes apparent to us that the postal or courier service in your area is too unreliable. We value our customers and our ability to deliver, so where we can't, we won't risk disappointing you.
It is your responsibility to ensure that you have given us the correct delivery address and any special delivery instructions. We will deliver the Goods to the address specified for delivery by you in your order. It is important that this address is accurate. Any additional changes or re-delivers due to an incorrect address will incur a charge.
Standard delivery time for most products is three to seven working days following the day of order. Saturdays and Sundays and official UK Bank Holidays are NOT defined as working days. In some cases, principally machinery and larger items, delivery may take longer and will require confirmation from East Riding Horticulture Ltd office.
Whilst we will communicate your special requests and comments to couriers and hauliers, delivery procedure will fall within our terms of delivery. In some cases, drivers will be able to call prior to the delivery, but in every instance this is not guaranteed or included in the service offered.
A number of our products are delivered on pallets or in large dumpy bags, in which case lorries are used and a kerbside delivery only can be guaranteed. We use tail–lift offloads and hand pump trucks, therefore we can only offload on to a smooth and level hard standing area; we cannot offload onto pebble/gravel/cobble or soft ground. We will do our best to deliver as close to the property if access allows. We are not able to carry materials up paths or to rear gardens. Access to sites must be on hard roads over which a vehicle can pass without sustaining or causing damage of any kind.
We cannot accept any liability for any loss or damage to the goods once they have been delivered. We will aim to deliver the goods by the date quoted for delivery, but delivery times are not guaranteed and therefore time is not of the essence. In any event, we will aim to deliver your goods within 30 days from the day after the day we received your order. If delivery is delayed beyond this time, we will contact you and either agree a mutually acceptable alternative date or offer you a full refund.
You will become the owner of the goods you have ordered when they have been delivered to you. Once goods have been delivered to you, they will be held at your own risk, and we will not be liable for their loss or destruction.
Please check and inspect your order to ensure all items are present and not damaged (this includes items that need to be assembled i.e. sprayers, spreaders) Any issues must be reported to East Riding Horticulture Ltd within three days of receipt with photographic evidence of the fault or damage. Collection
You are able to use the Collection option on any order from our website. You will be notified by email when your order is ready. Please do not attempt to collect until you have received your email notification.
Collection is available Monday to Friday 9:00am to 4:00pm.
We are closed on bank holidays.
